If you don’t react, the system is designed for automatic braking support to help mitigate the impact or avoid the collision entirely, if possible.

The available Blind Spot Monitor (BSM) with Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) helps you identify vehicles that might be in Prius's blind spots. When you use your turn signal and BSM detects a vehicle, it warns you with a flashing indicator light on the appropriate outside mirror.
